The distance and the light can fool your eyes and, even your heart. So many beautiful poems were intoned for the moon, its pure and its flawlessness. But, should we regret for it after we know its actual image? Would we lose our appetite of beauties after we saw the truth covered by the light however it might not be so beautiful? The beauty is the reflection of the heart. Sense it, wherever it exists; sense it, whenever it shows. Sense it, whatever it might be mixed with. If you turn off your sensor because of flaws, what can nourish your eyes, your heart and your life? July 10 Growing Up Among Leaves -- The Last Two DaysLast few photos for the Robin family: The nest is already too small for them
This little bub want to get more space
It's trying to pratice its wings. I still have a little worry if they would fall out from the nest, but, is flying a inherence ? I didn't see their mother teaching them anything.
Family Photo! Hmm, where is the father? This is also the last scene I have them in my shots. They flied away without a fareware to me :( . Obviously, the mother started to drive them out of the nest ....
By the way, I saw two blue birds yesterday. One of them standing near to the nest for a long time. Maybe it wanted to use the nest ?The nest is empty now. I sometimes still have a look at it, missing them. I bet they don't. :) The mother robin was always watching out for me. Noticed there is an anonying leaf in these photos? I tried few times to remove it, all failed. One time I was found by the mother, she was so scared, flapping its wings over my head. I shrinked back. I bet it would attack me if I didn't. I even saw feathers on its neck were all standing ... Forgive me! I never tried to hurt them. After that, I gave up the idea of clearing my vision. I don't want to bother their lives or their hearts, if they have.
Supplement:
Knowledge of American Robin: They are short distance migrants, often appear in the residental areas during the breading season. They usally build their nest on fruit trees
July 02 Growing Up Among LeavesIt lasted only two weeks, from nestling robins hatched out to they flied away. I observed them daily but missed two important moments: the beginning and the end. I didn't catch how they pipped out and I didn't see how they bravely began their first flight. Whatelse disappointed me are the photos, all are some kind over exposured. They were hiding among leaves. I added the exposure compensation and used manual focusing. They are not good quality photos, espesically with the electronic version.
However, I did watch how they grew everyday and enjoyed.
In the first day they were hatched out, they looked so soft and weak. Their necks could not support their head yet, so once they tried hard to raise their heads for a while, they lolled down. As soft as noodles --- That's how my dad described about newborns to me, he said I was like that too. It sounds funny, all new lives are the same. I strangely had some feeling of a mother, worried if they can survive under such a hot weather, worried if the mother bird have enough food and water for them ...
![]() ![]() Is it mother? I assumed that. It's said female American robin has paler plume than the male, but I can't tell. There is only one time I saw two adult birds standing at the edge of the nest, but just few minutes.
![]() Under mom's stomach. Sometimes they squeeze their tiny head out of their mother's wings. I was always wondering how the mother knows they are not overpressed ... just like when we were babies, sleeping at the moms' side?
![]() ![]() They had black plumes from the second day. The transparency of their skins are losing
![]() They can keep their head raising longer. I couldn't help laughing when I saw them open their mouths to the sky so widely and so struggledly.
This would be a nice photo if it was not so blurred. I forgot I was using low speed because of the light.
![]() They are all covered by black plumes, maybe just after 3-4 days. I didn't hear any sound from them yet. I was happy that they all looked healthy. They crowded together -- what kind of feeling do they have? warm? hot?
![]() I am close enough but I don't have a good vision because of the leaves. I couldn't capture the mother robin when she fed them.
Oh, oh, GIVE ME, GIVE ME! These make me think of the jollification of living in a big family, with brothers and sisters, growing up together. I have never had chance to experience that. I am away from the feeling of crowd, but I am glad to watching it.
![]() It looks as if they were shouting, but there was no sound yet. Lives for children are simple, sleep and crying for food -- envy
![]() ![]() There is one roll of films in my camera still, taken to one day before they left. I will post them later after they are developped. Now it's "the darkness before the dawn" -- I am longing for a digital camera. To be more accurate, I am longing for money which can bring me a digital camera. June 19 Amazing TreeThere is an amazing tree in front of my window. Its blossom lighted me even in gray days. Now it brings another surprise: A nest! Four borning eggs |
